2012 Kansas City Chinese New Year Celebration Highlights

4000 people participated in our whole-day celebration at Carlsen Center, JCCC

More than 200 VIP guests attended the VIP Reception and silent auction to support children education

More than 100 volunteers provided their best service to the community

More than 200 local performers, plus 53 students from Beijing wowed the audience with their talents

KCCAA Youth Committee raised more than $2,000 to help children around the world with their education

KCCAA gave out its 2012 Community Service Award to 9 outstanding students in Kansas City

KCCAA would like to thank all the volunteers, sponsors, who made our 6th annual KC Chinese New Year Celebration a huge success.

Kansas City City Council Honors Asian and Asian-American Community

Jan. 26, the Mayor James of Kansas City, MO and the City Council presented a special resolution to KCCAA President CJ Wei, Mr. Bob Chien from the Society for Friendship with China, and Mr. Spike Nguyen from the Vietnamese community for the contributions made to Kansas City Missouri, and wished everyone Happy Chinese New Year.
